The first Twenty20 match between Pakistan and Australia ended due to rain.

The first match played at the Sydney Cricket Ground was restricted to 15 overs due to rain and Pakistan batted first and scored 115 runs in the stipulated overs, and under DL method Australia scored 119 for the win. Australia captain Aaron Finch and David Warner scored 41 runs in 3.1 overs, but the rain had to stop the match once again and the umpires declared the match to be canceled without rain for the first time.
